The Hopewell Building
June 26th 2006 09:50
Once again, Hong Kong take a "verical" leap with its new Hopewell Holdings Building, expected to finish by 2009. This multi-faceted structure spreads across 11,500 metres , with 2 hotel blocks containing over 2000 guest rooms, retail, cinema and conference facilities. The plans are to construct two towers that will have 58 and 73 floors respectively, with the total project costing a whopping USD$4.5 billion. Between the two towers, a lawn setup will have a stage where performances can be organised.
Hong Kong has always been reputed for its amazing skyline, painted with high rises and accentuating the scenery during sunrises and sunset. And this is set to add to its beauty!
